If pure copper is used to build the heatsink , the weight of the product will be relatively large, which is a great test for the bearing capacity of the motherboard. At the same time, the hardness of copper is not as good as aluminum alloy, and some machining (such as grooving) performance is not as good as aluminum. The melting point of copper is much higher than aluminum, which is not conducive to extrusion forming. Therefore, an excellent radiator usually adopts the combination of copper and aluminum.

      Machining a diameter of ψ= D1 on the bottom of the aluminum heat sink is  , and then make another diameter ψ{{0}} D1 plus 0.1mm copper column uses the characteristics of thermal expansion and cold contraction of metal materials. See that when the aluminum is heated to 400 degree , the round hole will expand to more than D1 plus 0.2mm due to expansion. Then, use special machinery and equipment to quickly plug the copper column at room temperature into the round hole of aluminum heat sink at high temperature, and then cool it. After cooling, the copper column and aluminum heat sink can be very closely combined. Since there is no third-party medium between copper and aluminum, their bonding density is very good.

      Aluminum alloy is easy to process and has lower cost. In contrast, copper material has fast higher cost and weight, the instantaneous heat absorption capacity is good, but it's heat dissipation capacity is slower than aluminum material. Plug copper heatsink balances the advantages and disadvantages of aluminum and copper, and is a better heat dissipation scheme in terms of performance and cost.
